After revealing the global variant of the Redmi Note 12, Xiaomi is also developing smartphones for other of its sub-brands. Now, Poco is getting ready to show the devices of the X5 family, according to teasers released on the company’s social networks.
- Nokia C12 launches with focus on durability and removable battery
- Moto G53 5G and Moto G73 5G have leaked colors and memory variants
In a publication on its official Twitter profile in India, Poco confirmed an event for its fans in the country, in Delhi, on the 22nd of January.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t make it clear if news about the speculated Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro will be revealed during this event next week, but in the text she makes a lot of reference to the letter “X”. Those interested in participating must register using a form.
In addition, in its official store on AliExpress, Poco has confirmed that the X5 series is very close to being launched, but does not give any news about each of the expected devices.
What to expect from the Poco X5 line?
According to rumors, the Poco X5 may be a smartphone with many similarities to the Redmi Note 12 5G, launched in China in 2022 and which gained a global version in early January. However, among the differentials, there would be slight design changes and processor replacement. So, instead of bringing Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, it should hit the world with Snapdragon 695.
In addition, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G Speed Edition, which arrived in China recently, can be used as a base for the Poco X5 Pro. That is, among its highlights would be the 108 MP camera and, mainly, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor.
Now it remains to be seen whether the brand will use the January 22 event to showcase the new smartphones, or if they will arrive at some point after that.
