Worth the Play | Five Nights at Freddy’s is Carreta Furacão on a budget

Vale o Play

O Vale o Play This week discusses the latest game adaptation to hit theaters. Five Night at Freddy’s – The Neverending Nightmare premieres with the proposal to bring to the big screen a horror story for teenagers that relies heavily on references and easter eggs from games, but without relying so much on the violence and horror that we are used to seeing in films of this genre. But does this approach work or do we just have a story with ugly dolls, a kind of Carreta Furacão with a dollar budget? Durval Ramos and André Oda try to come up with an answer.

O Vale o Play is our podcast focused on series, films, games and pop culture, published every Sunday at 7am on our website and podcast aggregators.
