WhatsApp prepares tactile response for reactions with emojis

WhatsApp starts testing Status with audio on Android

WhatsApp has enhanced the emoji reactions tool with a slight vibration effect. In the test version of the program, the application makes the cell phone vibrate slightly when the interactions tray is activated.

WhatsApp’s haptic feedback for emoji reactions is a small addition, but it enriches the overall app experience. The interaction conveys a greater sense of refinement, in addition to helping the user to understand what he is doing.

In addition, the vibration when activating the emoji tray also favors the application’s accessibility. Users with visual impairments will more easily understand what they have just activated on WhatsApp.

Vibration favors accessibility

As it is an experimental addition, there is no prediction of when the vibration in the reaction with emojis will be released to all users. However, this is a small novelty, so it shouldn’t take long to be released.

Currently, the function is being tested in WhatsApp Beta, a version already available for all testers of the messenger on Android. There is no prediction of when the novelty will be adapted for the iOS app.
