After revealing a series of new products during CES 2023, TCL has brought a new cell phone to the market. This is the so-called TCL ION X, a very basic device that should serve as an entry option for the Chinese company.
- Samsung Galaxy A14 4G goes through Anatel and can now be sold in Brazil
- Poco X5 Pro gets launch date and arrives in early February
Despite the simple technical sheet, the ION X has a visual that conveys a corporate air, being all plastic with a textured rear cover and a rectangular module in the upper left corner where the single camera and the LED flash are located. It doesn’t have a fingerprint reader for biometric authentication, and all its buttons are present on the right side.
At the front, it has a screen with thick edges around it, especially above and below the panel. An interesting differential is that the back cover can be removed, with a crease on the right side to help with its removal.
Its screen is 6 inches with LCD technology and HD + resolution (1,600 x 900 pixels), with a 5 MP front camera on the top edge, which works for facial recognition. To energize the set, the brand added a 3,000 mAh capacity cell.
Still regarding cameras, it has a single main sensor of 13 MP, which the brand points out has scene detection by artificial intelligence. As for other technical specifications, its processor was not specified, it is only clear that it has an embedded MediaTek chipset. The platform will also be aided by 3 GB of RAM, but the storage has not yet been disclosed.
price and availability
The TCL ION X will be sold in the United States exclusively by Metro by T-Mobile, and, although the brand has not confirmed it yet, websites indicate a price of 119 dollars for it (about R$ 600). There is no information about its arrival elsewhere in the world.
