Realme GT Neo 5 with 150W recharge passes benchmark test

Realme GT Neo 5 will have Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, test shows

Realme is expected to update its GT Neo 5 line of smartphones soon, and a new model has just appeared on the Geekbench platform. The content confirmed what the cell phone’s processor will be, among other performance specifications.

The device looks like the serial number RMX306, previously linked to the variant with support for 150W recharges. The RXM308, with 240W charging, had already passed the benchmark before.

According to the listing, the Realme GT Neo 5 will have the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. However, the platform will come in a version with lower clocks, whose maximum frequency is 3.00 GHz.

It is the same chipset already seen in the OPPO Reno 9 Pro Plus, presented in November last year. In addition to the maximum performance core, it still has three more at 2.50 GHz for high performance, and four at 1.80 GHz for energy efficiency.

The version that went through Geekbench has 16 GB of RAM, but other variants should also be made available by Realme. The smartphone runs Android 13, with the typical Realme UI interface of the brand.

With this set of specifications, Realme GT Neo 5 achieved 1,277 points in single-core, and 3,917 in multi-core — which reaffirms its character as an advanced device.

In addition, the tests corroborate what has already been said in previous rumors: the RMX306 and RXM308 models should not have major differences between them, in addition to battery size and charging speed. While the first has 5,000 mAh and 150 W, the second will arrive with 4,600 mAh and 240 W.

Realme GT Neo 5 will have 144Hz display

Previous certifications have already shown that the Realme GT Neo 5 will feature an OLED screen, 6.74 inches and a resolution of 2,772 x 1,240 pixels. This panel will also feature a 144 Hz screen and an integrated biometric sensor.

In addition to the 16 GB of RAM seen on Geekbench, the smartphone should still have 1 TB of storage in its most advanced versions.

The phone’s set of cameras will feature a 50 MP Sony IMX890 as the main sensor, with support for optical image stabilization (OIS). Auxiliaries will include 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro and 16 MP front.

A specific date for the launch of the GT Neo 5 line has not yet been disclosed, but the devices should appear in February. Until then, more information may be revealed through leaks.
