Realme GT Neo 5 will have Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, test shows

After appearing in some rumors since the end of last year, the Realme GT Neo 5 recently underwent testing on the Geekbench platform. The content reveals several specifications of the smartphone, mainly in terms of performance.

  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 special for the Galaxy S23 has a possible leaked name
  • Review TCL 30 5G | Intermediate cell phone manufactured in Brazil

Its performance set will be led by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, but in a lower clock version. With frequencies of 3.0 GHz, the platform is manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process.

The chipset still has three high-performance cores at 2.50 GHz, along with four more energy-efficient ones at 1.80 GHz. Even if it is not the most up-to-date mobile component from Qualcomm at the moment, it should still offer satisfactory performance in Play Store applications.

The tested smartphone has 16 GB of RAM, but versions with 8 GB or 12 GB are also expected. Its operating system will be Android 13, with the company’s typical Realme UI 4.0 interface.

With these specifications, the device was able to obtain 1,279 points in single-core and 3,902 in multi-core — reaffirming its character as an advanced smartphone.

Realme GT Neo 5: what to expect

In addition to the performance specifications, the previous news also revealed what the technical sheet of the Realme GT Neo 5 should be.

The device can arrive with a 6.7-inch screen, with AMOLED technology and support for Full HD resolution. This panel should still support refresh rates at 144 Hz, and PVM dimming at 2,160 Hz.

Its main sensor should be a 50 MP Sony IMX890, lined up with an 8 MP ultrawide camera and an additional 2 MP component. This set can have a very wide zoom level, from 0.6x to 20x with the use of hybrid zoom solutions.

Two versions of the smartphone should be sold by Realme, with battery and charging differences. While a simpler model would have a capacity of 5,000 mAh and 150 W recharges, the more advanced variant can bring 4,600 mAh and 240 W, respectively.

An official date for the launch of the Realme GT Neo 5 has not yet been announced, but the smartphone is likely to appear between the months of January and February. Until then, more details about him can be confirmed.
