Nintendo Switch gets pink controller to celebrate Princess Peach game

Through its social networks, Nintendo announced a new color option for the Switch’s Joy-Con controller. It’s a pink tone, which comes to celebrate the new game Princess Peach: Showtime.

In addition to the predominant pink color, the control also has black buttons and sticks. This version will only be available in a few selected stores, in addition to the brand’s official portals.

The start of sales is scheduled for March 22, the same date scheduled for the launch of Princess Peach: Showtime. The title will follow the adventures of the princess established in the Mario franchise, but with different clothes and accessories.

Outfits such as Swordfighter Peach, Detective Peach, Patissier Peach, Cowgirl Peach, Kung Fu Peach and Ninja Peach will be available. Each version has different powers and enemies, in stages with logic and agility challenges.

Princess Peach: Showtime was named one of the most anticipated games of 2024, in a list that includes other Switch titles, such as Mario vs Donkey Kong and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

The pink controller will only be on sale for a limited time, although Nintendo has not revealed exactly when sales will end. There is no forecast for official sales of the accessory in Brazil.

The news comes in a year that could be quite busy for Nintendo, as rumors point to the arrival of the Switch 2 in September 2024. The hybrid console still has few details officially revealed, but it is possible that it will bring significant performance improvements through a new CPU and more RAM.
