Intel released the new driver Intel Graphics Driver 188.8.131.5200 on Monday (23) for the Intel Arc A-series and Intel Iris Xe GPUs. The objective is to optimize the components for the games released this week: Alan Wake 2 e Ghostrunner 2.
In the update description, Intel Arc Game On is now available for Alan Wake 2, Cities: Skylines 2, EA Sports WRC e Ghostrunner 2. Intel still recommends that players use DirectX 12 to get the best performance possible with the new driver, except in Cities: Skylines 2which uses DirectX 11.
Optimization highlights are Alan Wake 2with a 20% improvement in FPS at 1080p resolution in high quality and 22% at 1440p in medium quality, and Cities: Skylines 2with an improvement of 34% at 1080p resolution on the high setting and 26% at 1440p on the medium setting – all qualities are as predefined in the options.
To download the Intel Graphics Driver 184.108.40.20600 driver, go to the official Intel website and install the update. The driver is available for Intel Iris Xe 11th through 14th generation Intel processors, as well as Intel Arc Alchemist family graphics cards.
