Microsoft Announces Xbox App Compact Mode for Handheld Consoles

After testing Compact Mode with Xbox Insiders, Microsoft officially announced the feature for the Xbox App. This new feature focuses on optimizing the interface for portable consoles, such as the Lenovo Legion Go, ASUS ROG Ally and Steam Deck.

This mode brings a cleaner and more simplified view, with a focus on displaying the games in your library with shorter descriptions and more emphasis on visuals, with larger icons. The sidebar is also reduced to icons, with no visible text for better viewing on smaller screens.

In addition to this new feature, the Xbox App update also brings the new Gaming Services Repair Tool for PC. Through it (in the “Support” option), it is possible to repair the lost app, games and content with just one click. Just open the tool and let it carry out the procedures.

Finally, a new notification shade brings you the latest news from Xbox Game Pass so you can enjoy the latest releases on the service.

Remembering that update 2311.1001.7.0 is now available and can be installed directly on the Xbox App, both on a portable console and on a PC.
