The month of January 2024 is already much more interesting in the gaming world than December, bringing some highly anticipated releases by fans of RPG, fighting and even those who still fondly remember the franchise Prince of Persia.

Possibly the biggest highlight of the month is the launch of The Last of Us Part II Remastered, a PS5 version of the Naughty Dog game, with graphical and performance improvements, as well as some extra content. Another novelty is the arrival of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealththe newest chapter in the Sega series, again in the form of an RPG and with two protagonists.

In addition to them, Tekken 8 arrives with another game full of beatings and family fights, often on the edge of some volcano, and Ubisoft remembering that it has the franchise Prince of Persia and that she deserved a new game.

Check out the biggest highlights of January 2024.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Returning to platform gameplay, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown introduces a new hero named Sargon, a member of a clan of warriors called the Immortals. He travels to a cursed city to rescue Prince Ghassan, who has been kidnapped. For those who don’t know, the prince is the hero of the franchise’s previous games.

With a very exciting look and gameplay that seems fast and fun, the game is the first production in the series in thirteen years. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be released on January 18th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered

Many believe that this is a completely unnecessary remaster, as The Last of Us Part II It has great graphics and performs well on PlayStation 5. However, Naughty Dog has used the ability to make things a little better technically, while offering some extra modes for its current-gen players.

The remastered version of TLOU2 brings phases that were left out of the game, with comments from the developers explaining why they cut these sections, giving a glimpse into the creation of the game. The game also features a roguelike mode called No Return, in which you can choose a character and try to improve your items and skills while fighting a series of enemies.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be released for PlayStation 5 on January 19th.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth promises beatings, exploration and tears for fans of the Sega franchise. Started as action and fighting games, the series evolved into the turn-based RPG genre in the penultimate episode, which gained a new protagonist in the form of Ichiban Kasuga.

Tekken 8

There’s no way to talk about Tekken 8 without thinking that all the game’s plot and fights could be resolved with family therapy, but we would be deprived of one of the coolest franchises in the fighting genre. The game brings 32 different fighters to the current generation of consoles, with improved visuals and a more simplified control system, seeking to attract new players.

Bandai Namco promised a remarkable story involving the Mishima and Kazama families, in what is the longest story in the world of fighting games. Tekken 8 will be released on January 25th for Xbox Series S/X, Playstation 5 and PC.
