Samsung holds its first Unpacked event of the year this Wednesday, February 1st. And after leaks that have already detailed virtually all information on the Galaxy S23 smartphone line, now it’s the turn of the Galaxy Book 3 series to receive even more design details and specifications before its official announcement.

Samsung’s new premium notebooks will bet on 13th generation Intel Core processors, high memory and storage speed, in addition to a minimalist and simple look with a thin body and OLED technology screens with a high refresh rate. See below what to expect from each model.

Galaxy Book3 and Book3 360

The Book3 will have a single option with a 15-inch OLED screen, Full HD and 60 Hz rate, being equipped with Intel Core i3-1315U, i5-1335U and i7-1355U chips (integrated graphics), 54 Wh battery, weight of 2 .44 kg and dimensions of 1.54 x 35.6 x 22.9 cm.

The Book3 360, on the other hand, will bet on two size options: a 13-inch and a 15-inch, both OLED, Full HD, 120 Hz rate and touch panel, in addition to a 360 degree hinge. The options will be equipped with Intel Core i5-1340P and i7-1360P chips (integrated graphics).

The smaller version will have a 61.1 Wh battery, dimensions of 1.29 x 30.4 x 20.2 cm and a weight of 1.83 kg, while the larger option will arrive with a 68 Wh battery, dimensions of 1. 37 x 35.5 x 22.8 cm and weighs 2.24 kg.

Both models can be customized with up to 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM memory and up to 512 GB of M.2 PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage, in addition to sharing the same aluminum body with a USB-C port (3.2 Gen 2), a USB-A (3.2 Gen 1), HDMI output, 3.5 mm headphone jack and microSD port.

With Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, the notebooks will also feature a dual speaker with support for Dolby Atmos sound and a high-definition webcam (HD for the Book3, Full HD for the Book3 360).

The Book3 Pro will arrive in 14-inch and 16-inch options, with a 120 Hz OLED panel, 2K resolution (2880x1800p), while the Book3 Pro 360 will only be sold in 16-inch with the same configurations, but with a touch panel and 360 hinge degrees.

Both models will be powered by Intel Core i5-1340P and i7-1360P chips (integrated graphics) in configurations with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of M.2 PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage. C Thunderbolt 4, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, HDMI, microSD and headphone jack.

The notebooks will have a four-speaker system with AKG sound, Dolby Atmos and Full HD webcam, with a 63 Wh battery for the 14-inch options and 76 Wh for the 16-inch screen versions.

Expanding the availability of the Ultra product line to define the device as the best that Samsung can offer, the new Book3 Ultra will bet on an option with a 16-inch OLED screen, 120 Hz rate and 2K resolution (2880x1800p), with an Intel Core chip i7-13700H and i9-13900H, Nvidia RTX 4050, RTX 4070 or integrated GPU, with up to 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB SSD.

The model will have two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, HDMI, microSD and headphone jack, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

Its construction will also be in aluminum, with dimensions of 1.65 x 35.5 x 25 cm, weight of 1.79 kg and 76 Wh battery, also maintaining AKG sound system, Dolby Atmos and Full HD webcam from the Pro line.

Prices and availability

The official announcement of the new Galaxy Book3 will take place during the Samsung Unpacked event this Wednesday, and the launch should take place during the month of February in the global market. Launch details in Brazil are still unknown, but news should emerge soon.

The Galaxy Book3 will start at €1,299 (just over R$7,000), while the Galaxy Book3 Pro should start at €1,749 (about R$9,700) and the Galaxy Book3 Ultra can be sold for from €2,900 (~R$16,000), going up to €3,800 (~R$21,000) for the most powerful version.
