Fiat Toro 2023 undergoes changes and loses a version; see all changes

The Fiat Toro 2023 hits the market with some changes in the lineup. The main one was the exclusion of the Freedom variant as the entry model with a 2.0 turbodiesel engine and 4×4 traction. Now the most affordable model with this configuration becomes the Volcano, which is also cheaper, costing R$ 204,500.

As for the turboflex models, equipped with the well-known 1.3 turbo engine of 185hp and 27.5 kgf/m of torque, the Toro continues to be sold in three versions: Endurance, Freedom and also Volcano, the latter being the most equipped with this engine. The differences, however, are in the standard and optional items.

The Toro Endurance gained a marine roof while the Freedom, in addition to this item, now has fog lights when compared to the 2022 models. Both are now without options, that is, the multimedia center can only be the 8.4 inch uConnect, the possibility of 4G connection and other features of Fiat Connect Me.

Volcano version takes center stage

The Volcano variant, in addition to the repositioning within the diesel range, had its options added in a single package when the customer opts for the flex engine. This is Tecnologia e Design Black, which costs R$ 6,500 and gives the pickup aesthetic details, ADAS (with frontal collision alert, automatic emergency braking, lane departure alert with correction and automatic switching of high beams) and the 10.1-inch vertical uConnect multimedia center. For Fiat Connect Me services, an additional BRL 2,590 is required.

It is worth remembering that in the diesel version, Toro Volcano lost the Connect Me option, restricted to the Ultra and Ranch versions (standard), but has a package called “Technology”, which adds the ADAS package and the 10.1-inch central .

Fiat offensive in pickup trucks

Fiat was the brand that sold the most cars and pickups in Brazil in 2022 and is already preparing the ground for more news in 2023. In addition to reorganizing Fiat Toro, the Italian automaker is expected to launch a 1.0 turbo version of the Fiat Strada and a new medium pickup to compete with the Toyota Hilux.

In addition, within the Stellantis group, a medium pickup truck with the RAM brand is expected to fight in the luxury market.
