Fallout, Bethesda’s RPG and shooting game franchise, is being adapted into a series for Prime Video, but it is still surrounded by mystery, as very little about it has been officially confirmed by Amazon. This should start to change, as the studio revealed exactly when the series should debut on streaming.
Amazon revealed, through the series’ official account on X (formerly Twitter), that Fallout will debut on Prime Video on April 12, 2024. This marks one of the only official pieces of information about the series, besides the cast list, that the plot would take place in Los Angeles and the fact that it would debut next year.
Fallout, the series, has not had any information about its history released so far, just its location and the fact that it would not adapt one of the games in the series, being a completely new plot. This does not mean that some of the players’ acquaintances will not appear at some point in the series.
The games show an alternate reality in which the world has been devastated by nuclear war during the 1950s, with survivors living in bunkers spread across the United States. And the plot begins precisely when these bunkers are opened and they discover that, more than surviving an atomic catastrophe, they also participated in social experiments in each of the shelters — which means that each bunker has a very different reality from the others.
The series’ cast includes Walton Goggins (Justified), Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Xelia Mendes-Jones (The Wheel of Time) e Aaron Moten (Emancipation – A Story of Freedom).

Trailer shown at Gamescom
During Gamescom 2023, Amazon Studios showed an image of the adaptation of Fallout which showed that Vault 33 will be one of the locations explored in the series. In addition, a teaser trailer was shown to a closed audience, with the first scenes of the adaptation.
It didn’t take long for descriptions of the video to appear on the internet, talking about the presence of the Brotherhood of Steel, a techno-military organization from the world of Falloutin addition to the first appearance of Walton Goggins as a Ghoul, one of the humans who ends up deformed by exposure to radiation.
Of course, we could just stick with the descriptions, but someone managed to record the video with a cell phone and we can see, even unofficially, the first trailer for the series.
So, remembering that Fallout arrives on April 12, 2024, only on Prime Video.
