Anbernic, a company specializing in the development of notebooks, is about to launch its newest product: the Anbernic RG556. The portable console will be able to play games on the Android operating system and will have an integrated PS2 emulator for players. However, there is still little official information.
The company has already officially revealed the handheld with a video on YouTube, demonstrating the console’s capabilities. You can watch games like Genshin Impact, God of War II, Honor of Kings, Half-Life e Devil May Cry 3 running smoothly on the device, without any apparent crashes.
Although the Anbernic RG556 has not had official specifications announced, a leak on Geekbench suggests that the product will have the Unisoc T820 processor integrated with a Mali-G57 graphics card. The screen must be 5.5 inches and operate at Full HD resolution, making this the largest device in the company’s portfolio.
Anbernic RG556 deve ter tela OLED
A leak on Reddit, in turn, may have confirmed these details about the screen. The material revealed that Anbernic could use an OLED display, in addition to suggesting a lower TDP and, consequently, a greater balance between heating and energy consumption.
These factors place this laptop at a level close to that seen in the Retroid Pocket 4. This Retroid model should be one of the main competitors of the RG556, as it has 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and a Cortex A78 processor.
There is still no launch date, interested parties can fill out a questionnaire to understand the price list, colors and availability of the Anbernic RG556. The laptop should reach the international market in the coming weeks.
