Alan Wake 2 exceeds 120 FPS in 4K on GeForce RTX 4090 with DLSS 3.5

Nvidia revealed new performance details Alan Wake 2 using DLSS 3.5 and RTX Path Tracing on the GeForce RTX 4090. In this setup, Remedy’s new game surpassed 120 FPS on average in 4K with all quality options at maximum.

Alan Wake 2 is one of the games that will have access to all technologies developed for NVIDIA games, such as NVIDIA Reflex, Ray Reconstruction, DLSS 3.5 with artificial intelligence and Dynamic Super Resolution – so much so that buyers of GeForce RTX 4000 cards will be able to redeem the game for free in the promotional bundle.

Superior performance with DLSS 3.5

With a GeForce RTX 4090, Intel Core i9-12900K, 32GB of RAM and maximum quality in all options and 4K resolution (3840×2160), the game had an average of 134 FPS with DLSS 3.5, while with the option disabled the average drops sharply to 32 FPS. Using the same settings, the RTX 4080 averaged 103 FPS and the RTX 4070 Ti averaged 82 FPS.

For those interested in lower resolutions, such as 1440p and Full HD (1080p), the results are even more interesting with the GeForce RTX 4000 family with maximized graphics settings. At 1440p, the RTX 4070 averages 91 FPS and reaches up to 170 FPS on the top-of-the-line RTX 4090.

In Full HD, the GeForce RTX 4060 achieves an average of 82 FPS and the value is even higher with the RTX 4090, which reaches 195 FPS. This shows how well all GPUs in the RTX 4000 line are performing in the new game.
